Who We Are
THE GATHERING IS a casual, contemporary, christian church committed to writing the story of God's church in our generation. If you're looking for a place to take a next step in your relationship with God, you've come to the right place. You can find us every Sunday night at 6:00pm meeting at the brand new Central Community Center (1028 E 6th Street, Tulsa).
A CHURCH FOR THE CITY
We believe that God has called us to love and serve the city of Tulsa. This means that this church exists not only for our own growth and pursuit of Christ, but also to serve the city and lead people toward the person of Jesus. To that end, we feel that it's our responsibility to "clear the way" for people to come to church. By building a bridge to our city through acts of kindness and by teaching the Bible in a format that's easy to understand, we seek to be a voice of hope and truth to our city and beyond.

Our vision is to become an ACTS 2 COMMUNITY with an ACTS 29 MISSION. Through all we do, we endeavor to write the story of GOD'S CHURCH in OUR GENERATION.

WHAT'S IN A NAME
Our name comes from three places: (1) a verse that inspired the earliest days of The Gathering—Matthew 18:20 “where two or three are GATHERED in my name, I am there among them", (2) a greek word ekklesia which was used to describe the first assemblies or “GATHERINGS” of the early believers, and (3) a hope that all Christ followers share to one day GATHER together in eternity.
HISTORY
The Gathering was a church plant of a local church with over 100 years of history and held it's grand opening service on October 15, 2006.
